Ceramic
Coating.

A Nano-Ceramic layer that bonds permanently to your paint — hydrophobic, UV-resistant and mirror-depth gloss that outlasts any wax by years.

The Technology

What is
Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically to your car's factory clear coat — creating a semi-permanent, glass-hard protective layer. Unlike wax or sealants, it doesn't wash off. It becomes part of the surface.

The silica (SiO₂) and titanium dioxide (TiO₂) molecules in the coating cure to a 9H pencil hardness — harder than most clear coats. This resists minor scratches, chemical etching from bird droppings, tree sap and acid rain that would otherwise eat into your paint.

The hydrophobic effect — where water forms into beads and rolls off the surface — means dirt has no surface to grip. Your car stays cleaner for longer and washes with a fraction of the effort. Under light, the gloss depth is unmistakable.

Benefits

What Ceramic
Delivers

Hydrophobic

Water, mud and road grime bead up and roll off the surface. Your car repels contamination rather than absorbing it.

Mirror Gloss

The SiO₂ layer fills microscopic surface imperfections and amplifies reflections — a depth of gloss that wax cannot replicate.

UV Protection

Blocks UV rays that cause paint oxidation and fading. Your colour stays true and vibrant for years longer than uncoated paint.

Chemical Resistance

Bird droppings, tree sap and acid rain are neutralised at the coating surface before they can etch into the clear coat underneath.

9H Hardness

The cured coating is harder than most factory clear coats. Minor surface marring and fine scratches are significantly more difficult to inflict.

Easy Maintenance

Fewer washes, faster washes, less contamination bonding. The hydrophobic surface makes every wash dramatically easier.

Long-Term Value

Up to 9 years of protection from a single application — versus wax which degrades in weeks. The long-term cost per year is far lower.

Permanent Bond

Ceramic coating doesn't wash off — it chemically bonds to the paint. Protection is consistent year-round, not seasonal like wax.

The Process

How We Apply
Ceramic Coating

01

Wash & Decontaminate

Two-bucket wash, iron fallout treatment, clay bar — every trace of contamination is removed from the paint surface.

02

Paint Correction

Swirl marks, scratches and oxidation corrected with machine polishing. Ceramic coating amplifies whatever is underneath — the surface must be perfect.

03

Panel Wipe

Every panel is wiped with an IPA (isopropyl alcohol) solution to remove any polish oils or residue that would interfere with bonding.

04

Ceramic Application

Coating applied panel by panel in a controlled environment. Levelled, buffed and inspected immediately under strong lighting.

05

Cure & Handover

24–48 hour cure period in our Studio. Final gloss inspection, warranty documentation and a detailed aftercare briefing.

Ceramic coating is scratch-resistant, not scratch-proof. The 9H hardness rating makes fine scratches and swirl marks significantly harder to inflict — but a sharp key or careless fingernail at the right angle will still scratch the coating (and it's still better than the coating scratching, because the paint underneath is protected). For physical scratch protection, PPF is the right product.
For any car with existing swirl marks, scratches or oxidation — yes, strongly recommended. Ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath the surface. If you coat over swirls, the coating will make those swirls more visible (because the added gloss amplifies reflections). Our Pro and Ultimate packages include paint correction for this reason.
Under normal care and regular hand washing, our coatings meet their rated durability. The 3-year coating will last 3 years minimum. The 9-year coating is engineered to be active for 9 years. Factors that shorten coating life: automated car washes with brushes, harsh chemical cleaners, prolonged outdoor parking without any washing. With good care, coatings often exceed their rated life.
No wax, and no abrasive polish. Wax sits on top of the coating and doesn't bond — it'll just wash off and potentially reduce hydrophobicity temporarily. Machine polishing removes the coating. For maintenance, use a ceramic-safe spray booster (we supply these) which bonds to and refreshes the existing coating.
Both — but for different reasons. On a new car, you're protecting factory paint before it gets any contamination or swirls. The timing is ideal. On an older car, we do paint correction first to restore the finish to the best possible state, then coat it — effectively giving aged paint a new protected life. Some of our best results are on cars that were 5+ years old and looked like new after correction and coating.
